Oh Diana, Camera...I cannot wait.

I've been dying to have one of these camera's for years and I finally broke down and bought a Diana Camera kit from ebay. Its a really good deal and comes with 10 rolls of B&W film, ready to roll. I've searched thrift shops long enough and can never find them so I decided to splurge. I can't afford it right now whatsoever, but decided, screw it and I used my credit card.

I got it more than anything, for my wedding coming up, I'd love to get some super cool photos taken with it of of me and my manbeast. I loove the style and unpredictable-ness of the photos. They are considered to be a tad on the artsy fartsy and/or hipster side, call me that if you will. I can't wait to dink around with it!!! I'm so craving getting physcial pictures developed, rather than seeing them on my computer or digital camera. Yay...me so excited.

oh, I'm so excited for you. They're fun/frustrating to shoot but there is certainly some magic to the images. I think you'er photos will be lovely. I too am a fan of traditional negatives.

ps- in that top photo orange cat apears to be wearing an eye patch.

haha...true true about the eye patch.
Do you have one??aha not an eyepatch silly, a diana. What makes them frusterating? shitty shots??

Yeah, I have a Diana and a few Holgas. They're not too frustrating but it's nearly impossible to get the effect you have intended sometimes. It's a Happy Accidents sorta thing. You get the occasional light leaks so it's always good to have grafters tape handy to seal up the camera. Its fun to experiment with. I look forward to seeing your shots.

I've never heard of a Diana camera. Sometimes I feel like I must live in a cave. These images are amazing, I can't wait to see your pictures! I might tinker around with my Pentax some, perhaps a get a funky lens or some special film for our wedding. I'd love to have a Super 8 of the wedding, polaroids, traditional film camera pics, and of course digital. I'm going to encourage everyone at my wedding to be camera happy, as we're not having to professional photographer.

Wow, are those pictures taken with that type of camera? They remind me of my childhood in Ukraine, just the whole 'style' and feeling of them. They're absolutely beautiful and so unique.
