Everything Alice

kenneth rougeau

Its a ways away(March 2010), but I am quite excited for Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland. It was one of my all time favorite movies when I was a kid. I adore the Disney version, all the characters are so great..from the Chesire Cat to the Queen of Hearts to the hookah-token Caterpillar..haha I loved him!!

I seen a picture of Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter and it kinda got me on a Alice obsession. He is going to be great...Is he ever not?? I'm surprised Tim Burton hasn't already made this...Its such a dark fairy tale that suits his style of film to a tee. We bought a book a few months ago filled with artist's renditions of Alice...its very old and so cool to see all the different versions of this classic tale. I think young and old alike are entranced by this story.

I'm so excited. Marilyn Manson is also doing a version, but his is even more twisted.

Looks like we share the same obsessions, Kathleen -- Alice and tights. Awesome. I'm excited for the movie to come out, too.

And, thanks for all your kind words -- they truly brightened my day. :)

Johnny is the best, and he will definitely do something different with the Mad Hatter character. That picture of him already says a lot.

Can't wait!

Hello,

Thanks so much for including my Mad Tea Party artwork in your blog post (4th image down from the top). I did notice, however, that the image is linked to itself. Would it be at all possible to change it so that the artwork links directly to my online shop? In this manner, anyone who might want to could find and perhaps purchase the artwork for themselves. It would mean a great deal to me. The address to my shop is http://krougeau.artfire.com

Thanks & have a wonderful day!
