these cats are always on vacation…

…baaack to work, baaack to reality…still trying to get myself together after being away. phew. it’s such a weird feeling to go from being “on holidays” mode to “work” mode. Next time I will make sure I have a transition period, instead of arriving back home the night before and jumping back into it full tilt. ooof.

…just thought I would share a few snappy shots I took while on vacation. the kitty related ones, anyhow… :) …Taken again from my favorite place on the planet, and it’s gotta be the reason I love cats so much!! My Grandparents Farm. They make that place even more special than it already is.

…back from vacation…took a nice, much needed computer and work break. When you are not on the internetz for awhile, you feel sooooooo far behind on stuff. I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do. For now I am just going to try and recoup for a day or so and will try and bounce back to my bloggin’ self. It’s funny I went on vacation, you would think I would be super energized, but I didn’t relax much because I was trying to jam as much in as I possibly could, so I am soo exhausted. **HUGE YAWN** Catch up soon…

…So, I’m off…leaving for a 10 day vacation today to visit family and old friends. So pumped! Haven’t seen some of them since Christmas -even before, and feel like I need a vacation hard, so I will enjoy every millsecond. My husband and I are flying out early this evening. lots of fun, great food, nature walks, quality time and laughs to be had. I probably won’t be able to stay away from the internetz too long, so will probably check in at least a couple times.

Also HAPPY CANADA DAY to my fellow canadians!!! Hope all of you have a great long weekend.

p.s.- I’m leaving my kitties, normally they travel with us but not this time due to flying,etc. We decided to leave without them for a change. I am going to miss them sooooo much. I can barely stand it. I hope they don’t hate me when I get back. My amazing sister in law is going to take good care of them for me, but I just will miss their presence and preciousness like insane. They are totally my fur babies, and I am a bit of a worry wort. I am such a dork.

Cross Processing Kitties

…I’ve shared my complete & utter love for lomography and toy cameras before, through my posts on diana camera photos & the always super awe-inspiring double exposures. But one other style of old school film developing that I can’t get enough of is cross processing. It involves processing your film in chemicals for a totally different type of film. I love the mystery and experimentation aspect of this procedure. There is a sort of magic that takes place, especially with the colors and there is also an intensely major anticipation you don’t get with just using digital all the time. I often play around and add the cross processing affect to my digital photos because I just love the atmosphere it gives them so much…I know, I know…cheater..

…I’m leaving on July 10 for a 10 day vacation to visit family & friends and BEACHES, and CANNOT wait!! I am bringing along my diana camera and hope to get some cool shots. I have oodles of black & white film but must pick up some color so I can get some cross processing coolness done. I cannot wait already and I haven’t even taken the photos yet! :)

…Do any of you ever play around with old school cameras? I love having digital too, but it’s fun to mix it up!! :D

Christmas Break approaches…

…I am counting down the days til I go on a mini-vacation. I am not a Huge Christmas fanatic (the commercialism of it is kind of barf), but I do love seeing family and friends, that I haven’t seen in awhile, oh and the food isn’t too bad either (burp). I haven’t seen my family for a whole year, that’s the longest I’ve ever gone and am so very excited to see them (my lucky baby sister is in Jamaica though, boo to her). I fly out Dec.22 and return back to Ottawa Jan.3. I can hardly wait..I am not on total vacation cause I am working a bit over the holidays, but just the fact I have a job that I can take on the go is Awesome!!!

Do any of you have any travels to make over the holidays? What are your plans? Such a busy time of year, it can be hectic!!!

p.s.- We are taking our cats on the plane for the first time…eeeeek.

Vacay-tion all I ever Wanted...

Heya!!!

...I'm, I mean "We" are trying to plan a vacation, well I guess its a honeymoon...same shite, different pile. We are more than likely going to Rome...We're both big on art so it seems like a great choice plus the place is soo ancient...I'm sure the architecture is just insane and well the food...mmmff,don't get me started.

We both have Not been outside Eastern Canada and the US so its going to be such an adventure,PLUS neither of us have EVER been on a plane. I'm super pumped.
I'll be a trickling in and out of blog-world for the next while, so bear with me wonderfuls.
