…my niece, along with my sister (her mother), my mom and pops came to visit me last weekend. They drove 14 hours just to visit me…and I enjoyed every second. I adore my little niece Kitt soo much. She is pure sunshine. And an insane amount of Fun. I had a complete ball taking photos of her all weekend long. She gets extremely animated and hilarious as you can see. I took a bazillion, but just thought I would share a few. Turtles make an appearance in a few of them too. The kitties seemed to enjoy Kitt also, they seemed pretty intrigued at times, but often kept their distance staring from afar, not being used to the energy of a child. She LOVES ‘Kitty Cats’ almost as much as me. ;)  Kitt is the type of kid that makes you consider having children. Just love her.

…Brooke also does an amazing amount of work with her photography for the aid in adoption of these beautiful creatures.

Go to her site and check out the insane cuteness….the dogs are over the top too. She has nailed this art form, that’s for sure. …Brooke, if you ever are looking for an apprentice, I’m your gal. ;)  See more at her wonderful website here!

these cats are always on vacation…

…baaack to work, baaack to reality…still trying to get myself together after being away. phew. it’s such a  weird feeling to go from being “on holidays” mode to “work” mode. Next time I will make sure I have a transition period, instead of arriving back home the night before and jumping back into it full tilt. ooof.

…just thought I would share a few snappy shots I took while on vacation. the kitty related ones, anyhow… :)  …Taken again from my favorite place on the planet, and it’s gotta be the reason I love cats so much!! My Grandparents Farm. They make that place even more special than it already is.

…these are just a few of my work buds from my “active” job, weekday mornings. I love them to bits, and have a ball with these poochies and more, everyday. It’s especially entertaining watching them in the snow. I love trying to get shots of them in action…animals can make the funniest faces on the planet. Something as simple as kicking snow is a sure-fire way of getting some hilarious faces and body movements, which makes for some very fun photography.  Plus, it keeps me creatively stimulated while being around the furballz, a win-win situation.

*********************************************************************************************************

…I wanted to include a couple pics of my kitty kids as well, because they are the most important, wonderful, amazing furry creatures on the planet. They make my husband and I’s world a better place. Cats can be so loving. And my goodness it’s nice coming home to quiet, peaceful kitties after running around after dogs all morning, they certainly can be a handful. hehe. Especially in big numbers.

…Turtles, he is my Handsome Prince of a cat.

…this is my little Tuna, she is the silliest, most sweet, sweet beeb. (so hard to get nice photos of tho, cause of her coloring)

p.s.- We are moving at the end of the month into a bigger and better place. A duplex, a step up from a crappy apartment building. It’s really, really nice with lots of character, space and two levels…cannot wait. We want to buy a house someday, but are having trouble deciding where to settle. It’s gonna be a monster busy month of packing and purging ahead…

Enjoy the rest of your weekends!!!

Show & Tell

…I thought I would share a few photos I took of kitties while on my vacation.

These kitties are from my grandparents farm in Prince Edward Island, Canada. My grandfather (R.I.P. Poppy) passed quite a few years ago now, but my uncle & grandmother still live & work on it. It is, as I have said before my favorite place in the universe. I spent a lot of my childhood on the farm, and there is not doubt in my mind that this is where my love for animals was rooted. There were 11 or 12 barn cats this trip, and most of them were friendly.  They have a farm that all farms should be like. The animals are happy & have lots of space, yes even the cows & chickens do…the way it should be.

So here are a few pictures (mostly a little blurry, dang camera) of kitties in the snow…

…as you can see I love taking photos of cats, dogs too…I will be posting some of those soon as well (some really quite funny ones I took at work). I don’t have a very good camera, I need to start saving up so I can produce more quality photos, because photography is definitely a passion of mine. point & shoot is just not cutting it anymore. Do you any of you by chance have any good DSLR recommendations?
