…I have two things in common with these kitties. Can you guess?! hehe…alright, alright …we are pregnant and have been suffering with insane fatigue. I might as well announce it on my blog, plus it makes for an excellent excuse for my utter slackness. I am 13 weeks pregged. I think I am finally starting to get over my crazy, ridiculous need for numerous naps a day phase, of the first trimester. I have to be thankful for no morning sickness. I would of been wreck otherwise.

So ya, that’s that. My husband and I are pretty excited. We have been through many emotions from scared poopless to happy as a clam. I think that’s normal.

Baby is due December 26. 0_0
Should be quite the time around Christmas. We are moving to Prince Edward Island for September, which is 14+ hours away from here, so we can be closer to family, etc. I was born there and want to go back. SO excited, it is so beautiful there. I am just glad I am starting to get my energy back, so cleaning and packing won’t be so difficult. So lots of crazy changes ahead. I will be in and out when I can!

Thanks to any of you that might still peep to see if there are any new posts…much appreciated. Miss you!!! :)

Unpacking and Squirrely

So we pulled off the big mother of a move over the weekend, and let's just say there is LOTS left to do. I am just slowly picking away and unpacking stuff...the place is a touch chaotic and messier than I like it at the moment. There is a cute little 2 bedroom apartment under here, somewhere.

It's so crazy how much one can accumulate over the years. I thought I threw a lot of stuff out, but man oh man, its never-ending. I have discovered that I am a major collector of scarves, picture frames, weird dolls and knick knacks up the ying yang. Oh,and the books..did I mention the books?!? My husbs and I are major book collectors, he collects mainly art books and comics and I collect books on pretty much any subject-ranging from books about cats and animals in general, books on photography and art, shite loads of fiction, graphic novels and a big favorite for me are vintage children's books. We need to purchase more book shelves in a hurry!!!!!
We also need a few other essentials- a couch (we left ours behind),a dresser,a desk and mostly bigger stuff that wasn't too special that we just didn't want to lug.

Do you guys have a lot of stuff?? I envy people that are minimalists. I am by no means a hoarder, but I do like to collect certain things and wow, it really adds up.

Our kitties did great on the 15 hour trip,I was probably more worried about them than I needed to be. They handled it like kitty pros.

On another little topic, where we moved is Ottawa,Ontario -Canada. It is beautiful. There are huge trees all over the place and everywhere you look you see squirrels and not just regular squirrels but BIG Black Squirrels. I have never even seen one in my life before I moved here...I'm used to the little ginger squirrels. They are such happy creatures, they just frolick about everywhere, They remind me of squirrels from Disney cartoons. Anyhoo, sorry my crazy blabbage...here's a few cutie pies...

*** Just found out that near Ottawa's Parliament Buildings downtown, there is a cat sanctuary! There are a bunch of little buildings built for the cats and they are fed everyday...the black squirrels can be found munching away on the food set out for the cats...hopefully they get along okay. I will have to go take a peek soon!

I'll be a little out of the loop for the next while. We are doing the Huge Move, leaving here at 6am Friday morning with a car and a U-Haul and arriving between 8pm-9pm to our new home. Its going to be a busy time but very exciting..I hope my kitties can handle it.

**I've been hooked to this song by the Danish band Mew. Its such an amazingly pretty tune and so very addicting.

TGIF Kitties

I wish a happy friday to you all! I don't where the past week went. This will be my last weekend living here,so I will be visiting family and friends and getting lots of quality time in before the big move. I am so excited.
I hope you all have fun this weekend no matter what you do!

Happy Autumn!!!

I'm a day late, but I just wanted to create a post in dedication of Autumn. It is definitely my favorite season. From the air,to the lighting of the sky, to the crunch of the leaves while going for a walk in the woods...its magical and beautiful. The only bad thing about fall is that its not long enough.

What a beautiful time of year for car travel. We drove 24 hours within two days...long,but luckily the drive was downright breathtaking with all the leaves changing color and there is something gorgeous about clouds in the Fall. We got our apartment and will be packing up a big u-haul and moving not this Friday but next. I am so excited for the future...change is so good for the mind and soul.

We'll See...

...On Friday I got laid off from my job, it was contract so I expected it to finish at some point, but there was no notice so now I have to apply for Unemployment Insurance and just pray they speed things up. Its kind of a good time in a sense cause my wedding is June 20,so it'll give me time to help as my family lives 3 hours away so I was doing everything by phone and email which was kinda frusterating. I am living in Nova Scotia, My parents live in New Brunswick and my wedding is in Price Edward Island, where I was born...so its just a tad complicating. I know that means nothing to people that don't know where that is...they are all around 3 hours away from each other and they are called provinces here, rather than states.
I'm blubbering at this point but I'm just letting you know I won't be as consistent as I'd like to be with comments, posts etc. Big Changes are a coming and I'm just hoping they go smoothly.

p.s.- I love you people...You're the COOLEST, most sweet peeps I've "met" in a loooonnngg time, you know who you are!! xoxoxoxoxox

Turn and Face the Strange

I never really cared for David Bowie's "Changes" much until today, I had one of those moments while driving to work and this song kinda spoke to me. I guess because there is soo much change ahead of me coming up, in such a short amount of time. I am getting married at the end of June, I'm ending my job really soon, Moving, trying to decide what to do in terms of career, decisions about what to take in school that I will love and want to stick with, and trust me, the list goes on.

I am very excited and petrified all in one big swirling, whirling ball.

There seems to be some confusion when it comes to the lyrics..some people think its turn and face the strain, stranger or strange. I like it as strange...because it sounds best and makes the most sense, to me anyways.
David Bowie is so wicked in general to crank while speeding down the highway.
