Icicles and Ugly Snowsuits

...Happy Monday...almost over (phew)...So how is Winter treating everyone?? It has been extremely frigid and brrrr beyond belief here. We caught a bit of a break today, I LOVE random mild days. I don't mind winter when you get those kinda warm, but still snowy and wintery days. It's quite beautiful with the icicles covering everything.  I used to love sucking on icicles when I was a kid...is that gross??? I was a bit obsessed with looking at hideous snowsuits today, as you can see. I thought I would share some of my glorious, hideously cheese-tastic finds. Upon my search I unfortunately discovered there is an odd fetish involving snowsuits...man, people are weird.  These snowsuits are so very ill fitting and ugmo, gotta love the 80's...I will not kneel to the neon alter...ever.

Do any of you participate in any winter activities
such as skiing,snow-shoeing  or skating?  In the new place I live, Ottawa, the Captial of Canada we have the World's Largest skating rink...it's outdoors and millions flock to it every year. I haven't skated for years but should take a trek out and participate in some skating...pull some cool moves and all "Blades of Glory" style.

..here is the Rideau Canal, I would want to go on a less busier day to skate, I'm rusty. :P

...It seems its been Forever since I last made a Snowman. That is one of my goals for this winter. But instead I will make a Snow-cat!!

It's Snowing and Blowing

...We are getting our first major snow blizzard today. A nice day to be indoors. There is a warning of 0 visibility in some areas, so there is no way I am driving today. Its becoming quite the Winter Wonderland outside and is quite magical looking.

...I often wonder how the creatures outside are doing when it's storming hard, hopefully they are in their warm & cozy homes or dens, and have full bellies.

...I have such a love/hate relationship with Winter.

I ADORE the first of the season; the first snowfalls are the most peaceful,most beautiful time of year. I love gazing out the window, being utterly entranced by the snowflakes falling from the sky. But being here in the Great North of Canada, the winter lasts far too long for my liking. The cold gets to be too much, and getting to and from home can sometimes be quite dangerous. One thing I do like about the cold outdoors is that it makes your home all the more cozy, and its fun to stay indoors under warm blankets especially during snowstorms. We've only had a few light snowfalls that melt really quickly so far, but I'm sure there is plenty ahead.

...What kind of winters do you have? Does it snow where you live? Do you enjoy it? I'm curious, fill me in...I'm nosy like that. ;D

...Oh and Kitties and Snow is just another pile of sweetness that melts my heart like icicles.
