I’ll Miss You, Christmas Lights…

…I hope everyone had a very Happy Holiday Time…whatever it is you that you celebrate!!!  :D

…I just returned from a 2 week vacation, so it may take me a little bit to get back into the swing of things again; so bare with me. I just returned last night from driving 14 hours with my husband and 2 kitties, we were staying with family for the holidays…the highlight of driving was definitely at night with all the Christmas lights. I loved it, because usually driving at night is kind of boring. The lights made the monotonous & looooong drive a lot more interesting ...there is just something about snow and lights that go hand in hand, and I just adore the atmosphere & warmth the lights create.  I hope most people decide to keep those purdy lights on for longer; even though the holidays have come & gone…

What are your thoughts on the lights of the season? hate or love? I tend to love the more subtle looks myself, but it’s always fun to see the people that go NUTS with it.

I'm not a Christmas lights kind of person, but I go along with the 'majority' (my wife) every year and put them up.

As per the 12 day rule ... they went up 12 days before Christmas and come down 12 days after.

Loved the selection of kitty pics!

thanks SK812...hahaha...i just have two, the one (Turtles) on my header & the other one (Tuna) on my profile pic. I luckily have pretty good self control and realize that 2 is good for now. I release my crazy cat lady side to the netz for pictures to fulfill my inner desires for MORE CATS...mwahahaha...as for the pics, I link to pretty well all of them and majority are flickr jobs. :D

I like Christmas and all that goes with it..the lights, family, hot chocolate by the fire, and the snow for just that week of. But once Christmas is over I am saying see you next year. I don't like the snow at all for long periods of time, yeah I live here in Michigan and you figure I would at least grow to like it, but no hasn't happened and I don't think it's going to. I'm all for moving on and getting to the nice weather of May and beyond. Glad you had a nice vacation. Do you always take your kitties with you when you go for longer visits? I don't think my kitties would do well with going visiting. I have 3 and I too am trying to keep the cat lady image at bay, but it is hard when you go to vet to pick up medicine for one and end up leaving with one you hadn't planned on. He is cute though. My husband said I'm not allowed to go to the vet alone anymore LOL. Glad to meet you :)

We will take down our tree this weekend. It would be past the 12 days of Christmas, but we want to do it with the kids around. Happy New Year!

Hi-

really, really amazing photos! I love them!

We didn´t have any christmaslights for the first time - only a few golden stars in the windows- unter them a wonderful stonelight- so they sparkled beautiful, too.

Greetings- Ines

GAR!!! THIS IS SUCH A GORGEOUS POST! i think the lights are the prettiest thing about xmas. they seriously drive me out of my mind. i put some up, and would just sit in the living room w/lights out starting and staring at them. THEY ARE SO PRETTY! and next year i am going to decorate the INSIDE of my house with lights so that i can be selfish and save them all for my eyes only. well, maybe i'll do some in the window, too, for those on the outside to see. lol

well happy new year to ya, and i hope you had a rad vacation!

i am feeling a bit lax/slack in the blog department, but not abandoning ship completely. just trying to be more chillllllll about a lot of things in life. at least that is what i am saying today. lol

Beautiful pictures. I am happy to see I am not the only one out there who appreciates other peoples Christmas lights. It does make the winter a bit brighter.

Lights? Twelve days of Christmas, says I. But being a snowbird, it's hard to keep those decorations up when traveling. I do the best I can, but hate to see all the pretties disappear so fast.

Cats? The more the merrier, but I, like you, have only 2. Does this mean I can put pics of my own on my blog, too? No competition for you, since mine is more about a journey through art and life.

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and plan to follow. Happy New Year!

I love the lights. Anything that is sparkly. I don't like too much. And I love them twinkling in the snow.
My cats must like too, the love camping under the Christmas trees :)

Thankyou for your compliment, my cats really appreciated it too! I was wondering how do you make it so people see the comments on your pages? Mine just says 1 comment. I've tried lots of things but can't get your comment to appear on my page. Also how do you have multiple pages that can be commented on. I added another page but no one can leave comments on it.
Sorry so many questions, Dia
