We'll See...

...On Friday I got laid off from my job, it was contract so I expected it to finish at some point, but there was no notice so now I have to apply for Unemployment Insurance and just pray they speed things up. Its kind of a good time in a sense cause my wedding is June 20,so it'll give me time to help as my family lives 3 hours away so I was doing everything by phone and email which was kinda frusterating. I am living in Nova Scotia, My parents live in New Brunswick and my wedding is in Price Edward Island, where I was born...so its just a tad complicating. I know that means nothing to people that don't know where that is...they are all around 3 hours away from each other and they are called provinces here, rather than states.
I'm blubbering at this point but I'm just letting you know I won't be as consistent as I'd like to be with comments, posts etc. Big Changes are a coming and I'm just hoping they go smoothly.

p.s.- I love you people...You're the COOLEST, most sweet peeps I've "met" in a loooonnngg time, you know who you are!! xoxoxoxoxox

bleah! I'm sorry! I think you're right to see it as a blessing in disguise - you'll have plenty of time to concentrate on everything thats on your plate. And when everything settles back down you'll have had a great break full of fabulous memories! Cant wait to hear more about the wedding plans!

ugh, i'm sorry about your job! i'm a contract worker too, and while it's great to have a job in these crazy times it's always a worry as to when they're going to cut us, and if i should be looking for another job!

but you'll def. have more time to concentrate on your wedding, which is very good!! :)

Wow,that is beyond horrible. And Unemployment (at least here in SA) can take forever.I hope that things will get back to good, after your wedding, and that all your wedding plans will work out just right.

I'm thinking of you!

you're getting married?! Exciting!!!!!
And although the job situation sucks - make sure you enjoy the forced time off, as you might never get the chance again :)

Oh dear, so sorry to hear that you were laid off. For now, you are so right to look on the bright side. You get focus on your wedding and spending lots of time with friends and family. Good luck girlie, my thoughts are with you.

Every time you talk about home, it reminds me how much I want to visit your area. I really wish I had the money to take an entire summer and explore Maine, NS, NB, and Prince Edward Island. My cousin and her husband bought an old home in Lunenberg (on their honeymoon!) and restored it, then ended up building a modern home there. They've since sold both just because they didn't get to spend enough time there (they live in the southern U.S.). But oh, the pictures they showed me. Enchanting!
